The Cannabis Summit Brasil is not a trade fair but a professional congress. It brings together practitioners, researchers and sector leaders to discuss developments in medical and industrial cannabis — the organisers sum up the remit as “tecnologia, cultivo e medicina”: technology, cultivation and medicine.

The stated purpose reaches beyond exchanging knowledge. The aim is “dois dias de troca de conhecimento, inovação e construção de soluções para o desenvolvimento ético e sustentável do setor” — two days of exchange, innovation and working on solutions for the sector’s ethical and sustainable development.

A different shape from Brazil's big fairs

Brazil hosts one of Latin America’s largest public cannabis fairs in ExpoCannabis Brasil in São Paulo. The Cannabis Summit is its counterweight: smaller, more technical, without a music programme or general admission.

The location says as much. It convenes not in a metropolis but at the Oceania Convention Center on Praia dos Ingleses in the north of Florianópolis — capital of the state of Santa Catarina, some 700 kilometres south of São Paulo.

Dates, venue and registration

The congress ran on 13 and 14 August 2026 at the Oceania Convention Center, Rua do Marisco 550, Ingleses Centro. It was organised by the agency Attitude Promo of São José, Santa Catarina.
